Tauko tulevaa varten / A Pause to Move Forward
Olemme jo vuosien ajan rakentaneet antirasistista, yhteisölähtöistä mediatoimintaa, joka on ensimmäisenä Suomessa toiminut ruskeilta ihmisiltä ruskeille ihmisille. Työmme on ollut pitkäjänteistä ja kunnianhimoista, ja sitä on ohjannut vahva halu muuttaa suomalaisen median rakenteita ja representaatioita.
Tällaisen työn tekeminen on vaatinut jatkuvaa rahoitusta. Viime vuosina tukea ei kuitenkaan ole ollut saatavilla, mikä on vaikeuttanut toimintamme jatkuvuutta ja pakottanut meidät arvioimaan tilanteemme uudelleen.
Koska jatkamisen edellytykset ovat epävarmat, olemme jääneet tauolle harkitsemaan rauhassa, miten voimme jatkaa työtämme sen tarkoitusta vastaavalla tavalla tilanteessa, jossa rahoitusta ei ole saatavilla – kuitenkaan sulkematta pois sen mahdollisuutta tulevaisuudessa.
Tauon aikana emme ole tavoitettavissa. Emme käsittele viestejä emmekä ota vastaan uusia yhteistyöpyyntöjä. Tiedotamme jatkostamme vuoden 2026 aikana.

We have spent years building an anti-racist, community-driven media platform that has been the first in Finland to operate by brown people for brown people. Our work has been long-term and ambitious, guided by a strong desire to transform the structures and representations within Finnish media.
This kind of work has required continuous funding. In recent years, however, such support has not been available, making it difficult for us to continue our work and forcing us to reassess our situation.
Since the conditions for continuing are uncertain, we have taken a pause to carefully consider how we can carry on our work in a way that remains true to its purpose, in a situation where funding is not available, while not ruling out the possibility of such support in the future.
During the break, we will not be reachable. We will not respond to messages or accept new collaboration requests. We will share updates about our future plans in 2026.
